|Think good thoughts|
Today is definitely Monday. I awoke early, tossed and turned for an hour or so, then slumbered deeply until almost nine. Coffee awaited me but it was barely warm when I reached for it.
The held mail stack always holds surprises. This one didn't disappoint. The city of salt legal department is threatening me for not renewing my business license. I've not done business since June 2015 therefore no renewal was needed. Of course, one only gets voice mail when calling bureaucrats.
There's a pending medical procedure that requires a pre-auth. I made an appointment while traveling. I checked yesterday, the provider is not listed on the carrier web site. I called my carrier, the pre-auth is still in medical review, and the good news, the provider is now contracted.
I couldn’t figure out why the dishwasher was still running then I noticed the sea of suds beneath it. Suds galore inside too. I ran a rinse cycle. Still suds. I ran a full cycle sans detergent, still suds. The aha moment – the little combo soap brush must have been full of liquid detergent when it was put in the dishwasher. The culprit was removed and more cycles run. Maybe it will be suds free at the end of the day.
I dragged the large, sudsy comfort mats out of the kitchen to the front patio. Next was the search for the hose which I found in my storage room. Garden hoses are my downfall. I had to sit on the patio at eye level with the new outdoor faucet to get it connected and wrestled into its holder. The mats are now draped over the patio furniture.
Feeling lucky, I washed a load of towels and a cotton rug. When it finished, I had to run an extra spin cycle because the contents were not rung out enough. This is a down side of front loader washing machines, at least, my front loader!
Google warned me my domain would expire. I wanted to change it, must have had cognitive disruption when I chose it. After a series of emails, this month and last, it is done – joewriteswhatever.com. Fitting, don’t you think?
And it’s only noon, what next?
